Olga is the director of Storytime Learning Center.
Born in Ukraine, she moved to the Chicagoland area as a young child. She now resides in the North Shore with her husband and two children. Olga holds two degrees in early childhood and biochemistry. She has been teaching children of early childhood age for nearly ten years.
Olga’s lifelong passion for early childhood education blossoming from the birth of her daughter has brought her to study the various dimensions of the childhood experience. She has studied and received training on traditional early childhood education along with progressive models including Waldorf, Montessori, and Reggio Emilia.
Her philosophy of education focuses on introducing developmentally appropriate activities while reaching milestones of a child’s life between birth and age 7. Storytime Learning Center is the culmination of years of creating the ideal learning space for children, a program with balances free play with structured activities, supports early academics, and fosters creative artistic expression.
Ms. Iuliia is originally from Ukraine but for the past 11 years has lived in Chicago area with her husband and lovely son, who also attends Storytime Learning Center.
She graduated from the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathion National University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Philology (English Language and Literature). She speaks multiple languages including Ukrainian, Russian, Polish and English.
She enjoys working with young children, and as a language specialist, she strives to give children the language developmental skills they will need to succeed in communication. She looks forward to work with your bundle of joy.
Ms. Olena received her bachelor’s degree in Child Development attending Olivet Nazarene University.
She believes teaching is when you can make a difference in a child’s life and support them every step of the way. She thinks its truly important to always have a positive impact on children. Ms. Olena’s inspiration came from a teacher of her own early on in her education, who had a positive influence on her. She has the desire in helping students along the path and to play a part in shaping the person they will ultimately become.
She recently got married! In her free time, she enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family!
Ms. Kathleen is a mother of three children, a daughter and two sons. All attended Montessori Schools. She also has a granddaughter and another on the way.
Ms. Kathleen attended University of Illinois at Chicago, where she studied Elementary Education, but was drawn back to early childhood education. She began teaching Montessori when her children were very young and what was a hobby became a passion and career.
She has been teaching at various Montessori Schools for nearly 30 years.
Kathleen enjoys seeing the expression of satisfaction, wonder and joy as children discover the world around them. She feels it is a privilege to work at Storytime to help guide young children through the earliest and most formidable years.
Ms. Volha arrived in the United States in 2016 from Belarus.
Ms. Volha graduated from Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radio electronics in Belarus. She holds Bachelors and has her Masters in Electronic Engineering. Additionally, she completed classes in Psychology and Pedagogy. As a lifelong learner, Volha is continuing her studies, with an emphasis on early childhood education and excitement to work with children.
She is a young, energetic and happy mother and wife. Her daughter has changed her life and world views for the better. Inspiring Volha to pursue a career in early childhood education and make a difference in children’s lives. The sounds of joy and glee a child expresses when they grasp a new skill or concept make Volha a happy to be a part of an unconditional world.
Ms. Lindsey began her dance training at age 8 in her hometown of Wichita, KS at Wichita Children’s Theatre and Dance Center. Ms. Lindsey continued her training at Oklahoma City University and Wichita State University. At Wichita State she was given the opportunity to work with internationally known mime/physical theatre company, Alithea Mime Theatre.
Teaching for 16 years, Ms. Lindsey moved to Chicago in 2009. She has been working with renowned studios: TranscenDance Studios, Design Dance, Elevations Dance Arts and Talent Forum where she is the Director of Forum 2 and Forum Starz. Her work has been seen at Dance Chicago and various regional area competitions.
Ms. Lindsey specializes in teaching many styles of dance to all different ages, from toddlers to adults. She brings a background of ballet, jazz, tap, modern and contemporary dance as well as creative movement. Her class for Storytime Learning Center includes aspects of all these styles with an emphasis on coordination, body and spatial awareness, and an early development of rhythm and musicality.
Vicki Cell Browdy CYT, CPT is delighted to share Yoga with Story Time Learning Center. Vicki received her Yoga Teacher Certification in 2010 from Yogaview, Chicago and is grateful to her teachers Tom Quinn, Quinn Kearny, Claire Mark and Geri Bleier. Additionally Vicki is a Reiki master level III, trained in the Usui Method and studied Vibrational Medicine with Japanese scientist Masaru Emoto.
Her teaching style is rooted in Ashtanga Yoga with Iyengar alignment principles. Vicki is able to incorporate all her skills to provide a safe, nurturing and enriched experience to accommodate the changing needs of her students. She has worked with a wide range of clients from the NFL to the elderly and in between.
Vicki especially enjoys working with young students to help build the necessary links between the body, mind and breath. Teaching Children the art of “Breathing their own Breath” builds a healthy confident, loving relationship within each child and creates a strong foundation to connect with others.
